There are provided a machining device that is excellent in an effect of cooling a machining tool and can perform machining with high accuracy and a machining method using the machining device.;There are provided a machining device that performs predetermined machining of a workpiece by a machining tool housed in a cylindrical body and a machining method using the machining device. The machining device includes a scatter-preventing member that is provided at a tip of the cylindrical body and comes into contact with the workpiece without a gap therebetween during the predetermined machining, a transfer passage that is provided on a side surface of the cylindrical body and sucks in waste of the workpiece produced due to the predetermined machining, and an air-blowing device that is provided on the side surface of the cylindrical body at a position symmetrical to the position of the transfer passage and blows air to at least a tip of the machining tool. |

1. An air bag-breaking-groove forming device that, as predetermined machining of a workpiece, forms an airbag breaking groove with a machining tool housed in a cylindrical body, the airbag-breaking-groove forming device comprising:
a scatter-preventing member that is provided at a tip of the cylindrical body and comes into contact with the workpiece without a gap therebetween during the predetermined machining; a transfer passage that is provided on a side surface of the cylindrical body and sucks in waste of the workpiece produced due to the predetermined machining; and an air-blowing device that is provided on the side surface of the cylindrical body at a position symmetrical to the position of the transfer passage and blows, air to at least a tip of the machining tool, while the air is provided at a tip of a syringe-shaped part that extends from the outside of the cylindrical body to the inside thereof, a distance between the air outlet and the top of the machining tool is variable. |
