An electronic device receives a voltage from an AC-DC adapter that is separate from the electronic device. The electronic device detects a change in the voltage from the AC-DC adapter. In response to detecting the change, the electronic device determines an amount of current from the AC-DC adapter. The electronic device adjusts a power consumption of a load in the electronic device based on the determined current.

receiving, by an electronic device, a voltage from an AC-DC adapter that is separate from the electronic device; detecting, by the electronic device, a change in the voltage from the AC-DC adapter; in response to detecting the change, determining, by the electronic device, an amount of current from the AC-DC adapter; and adjusting, by the electronic device, a power consumption of a load in the electronic device based on the determined current.
