This invention relates to a securement system for use with nasal cannula tubing, the securement system comprising a releasable, mechanical fastener distributed on a substrate, where the substrate is divided into sections by slits or slots 3329. The slots render the substrate more flexible, so that it can conform to the underlying surface. The slots may follow a herringbone, zigzag or serpentine path, or may divide the substrate into a serpentine body . The substrate with the mechanical fastener may be a dermal patch 550 of a two-part securement system 500 (see figure 17) and may be attached to the skin of the face. The mechanical fastener may be a hook-and-loop material, the complimentary part of which 553 is attached to a user interface patch 552, which retains the nasal cannula arrangement in place. |
