The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is the control method of the mobile terminal which comprises the following steps: accessing an image photographing mode; displaying a preview image inputted through a camera in a display unit; recognizing a predetermined subject in the preview image based on preset subject detection information or indicator detection information; focusing the recognized subject; and photographing the preview image including the focused subject. Therefore, since the inconvenience of a photographer to designate a subject to focus one by one whenever the photographer photographs, can be reduced, and user convenience can be consequentially increased. |
