The present invention relates to a binary alloy consisting of chromium and aluminum with excellent corrosion resistance and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the binary alloy consisting of chromium and aluminum with excellent corrosion resistance, contains 1-40 wt% of aluminum (Al), chromium (Cr) remainder, and inevitable impurities with respect to a total weight of the alloy. In addition, the method for manufacturing the binary alloy consisting of chromium ad aluminum with excellent corrosion resistance, comprises: a step of mixing and dissolving a source material containing 1-40 wt% of aluminum (Al), chromium (Cr) remainder, and inevitable impurities with respect to a total weight of the alloy (step 1); and a step of carrying out solution treatment of an alloy dissolved in step 1 (step 2). The binary alloy consisting of chromium and aluminum in accordance with the present invention can easily be manufactured, and has ductility, so applicability as a coating material, which requires high temperature corrosion resistance and wear resistance, is high. In addition, the binary alloy has excellent corrosion resistance not only in a normal operation state of nuclear power generation but also in an accident state, thereby greatly improving economic efficiency and safety for accidents of nuclear power generation. |
