The present invention suggests an apparatus and a method for controlling frequency modulation of radar which use a coarse tuning voltage based on a beat frequency to control frequency modulation of radar online. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling frequency modulation of radar comprises: a first voltage calculation unit to calculate a first voltage based on a response characteristic of a phase locked loop composing the radar; a second voltage calculation unit to calculate a second voltage based on the beat frequency in the radar; a gain calculation unit to calculate a gain of an oscillation frequency generator which generates an oscillation frequency in the radar based on the first and second voltages; and a frequency modulation control unit to compensate for the gain to control frequency modulation in the radar. |
