The invention relates to an apparatus (100) for assistinga person from one position to another. In particular, the invention relates to an apparatus (100) for assistinga person from a lying position to another position. A person with reduced strength mayfind it hard to get up, from lying down, for example, and the person may thus need assistanceon a repetitive basis. The apparatus of the present invention for assisting a person from one po- sition to another comprises a platform (102) that can be arrangedto differ- ent positions. The platform (102) comprises at least an upper portion (104) and a lower portion (106), the upper portion (104) and the lower portion (106) being movably connected to each other. The apparatus (100) com- prises supporting means (108)for supporting the platform (102) in a de- sired position and control means (110) for moving the upper portion (104) and/or the lower portion (106), by means of the supporting means (108), in order to getthe platform (102) to the desired position. |
