INDUCTION GENERATOR SYSTEM WITH A GRID-LOSS RIDE-THROUGH CAPABILITY

A generator system is provided to prevent performance deterioration. The system includes a motor which converts a first energy into a second energy. The system also includes an induction generator which is mechanically combined with the motor to generate power by using the second energy. The system further includes an inverter which is electrically combined with the induction generator to control the terminal voltage of the induction generator during a grid-loss condition. The system also includes a power dissipation device mechanically combined with the inverter to dissipate power generated by the induction generator during the grid-loss condition.
