This axial flow turbine is provided with: a rotor having a plurality of rotor blades on an outer periphery thereof; and a stationary member provided on the outer periphery side of the rotor and having an annular wall face facing the tip face of each rotor blade. When the axial flow turbine is stopped, the clearance between the annular wall face and the tip face on the trailing edge side of the rotor blade is greater than that of the leading edge side of the rotor blade.
