PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag processing apparatus which can reduce labor of an operator in steps until a bag containing an article is bound by a binding string, and can improve stable bending accuracy and efficiency by automating a bending step of the bag.SOLUTION: A bag processing apparatus for processing a bag with a binding string attached to an opening edge comprises: two pairs of clamps 114 which are disposed at different positions in a width direction of the bag, and clamp the opening edge of the bag from both sides in a thickness direction crossing the width direction of the bag; a folding mechanism for folding the bag along the opening edge plural times by rotating the two pairs of clamps 114, which clamp the bag, around an axis line C1 parallel to the opening edge of the bag; a head swinging cylinder 107, a first clamp unit 99, and a second clamp unit 100 which raise the two pairs of clamps 114 in a height direction of the bag respectively and raise both end parts in the width direction of the bag after the bag is folded; and a lift and a lift cylinder which withdraw the two pairs of clamps 114 after both end parts of the bag are raised.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
