The invention relates to an elevator (10) comprising a drive (11), a cabin (12), which is operatively connected to the drive (11) and can be moved along a travel path, comprising at least one guide rail (13) which is arranged along the travel path and guides the cabin (12), a safety brake (15) which is arranged on the cabin (12) and which is designed to exert a braking force on the guide rail (13), as well as a safety system (1) comprising a first safety control unit (2) and a second safety control unit (3) which monitors the safety condition of the elevator. The elevator is characterized in that the first safety control unit (2) is designed to output a stop signal to the drive (11), in particular to a drive brake (14) and/or to a frequency converter (15) of the drive (11), and in that the second safety control unit (3) is designed to output a trigger signal to the safety brake (16) in order to bring the elevator into a proper safety condition when an inadmissible safety condition is detected. |
