PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately suppress a situation in which an internal combustion engine falls into an engine stall even if the maximum value of shaft torque which can be realized in the internal combustion engine has a smaller margin.SOLUTION: An ECU 70 avoids an engine stall by setting a compressor 42 into a stopped state if a rotating speed of a crankshaft 28 is equal to or lower than a predetermined speed during idling operation of an internal combustion engine 10. During the idling operation, the ECU 70 calculates total load torque applied by the compressor 42 or an alternator 52 to the crankshaft 28. Furthermore, the ECU 70 calculates maximum torque of the internal combustion engine 10 during the idling operation on the basis of a target speed during the idling operation. The ECU 70 increases the predetermined speed when a value obtained by subtracting the load torque from the maximum torque is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
