PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter around which hollow strands are wound.SOLUTION: A catheter 1 includes: a catheter shaft 10 including a tubular inner layer 20, a reinforcement layer 30 for covering the inner layer 20, and an outer layer 50 for covering the reinforcement layer 30; and a resin distal tip 60 fitted to a distal end of the catheter shaft 10. The reinforcement layer 30 is formed of hollow strands, and the distal tip 60 intrudes into hollow parts of the strands. A braided body formed of the hollow strands is used as the reinforcement layer 30. The distal tip 60 intruded into the hollow parts of the strands may be formed along the direction of the strands of the braided body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
