Provided are porous titanate compound particles that, when used in a friction material, can impart excellent fade resistance thereto, a resin composition and a friction material containing the porous titanate compound particles, and a method for producing porous titanate compound particles. The porous titanate compound particles are formed by joining titanate compound crystal grains and are characterized in that the integrated porous volume within a pore diameter range of 0.01 to 1.0 μm is 5% or higher. |
