PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: compositions for use as soil fumigants and structural fumigants against a variety of undesirable species such as weeds, nematodes, pathogens, animals and insects, the compositions having low toxicity and low Global Warming Potential (GWP); and methods of producing the compositions.SOLUTION: To provide methods of producing fumigant compositions, including mixing a methyl iodide, a surfactant and at least one of hexafluoropropene and 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene represented by the formulas in the figure in an amount of at least about 30 wt.% in water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
