PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a formulation which maintains and increases amino acids, an important component of a skin natural moisturizing factor, and further which is effective for the prevention or improvement of skin symptoms, such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, and also for the prevention of sunburn, by promoting caspase-14 expression.SOLUTION: We found out that the above object is achieved by compounding a Pinctada fucata martensii mother-of-pearl layer and a pearl soluble protein and/or a hydrolysate thereof as active ingredients.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
