PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffling device for an engine capable of acquiring sufficient muffling effects even at the time of closing of an exhaust valve, and capable of securing engine output at the time of opening the valve.SOLUTION: An exhaust muffling device 28 includes: a first expansion chamber 32 into which exhaust gas G flows from an engine E; a second expansion chamber 34 on the downstream side of the first expansion chamber 32; a resonant chamber 36 arranged adjacent to the first expansion chamber 32 and communicating with an exhaust passage 55; an exhaust passage 92 for exhausting the exhaust gas G flowing into the resonant chamber 36 to the outside; and an exhaust valve 58 provided in a second partition wall 50 between the first expansion chamber 32 and the resonant chamber 36. The exhaust valve 58 opens when a pressure inside the first expansion chamber 32 becomes larger than a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
