PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that has suppressed an increase in nip pressure at both ends in the longitudinal direction with respect to the center in the longitudinal direction of a nip part compared with a fixing device not including a nip part forming member that has a coefficient of thermal expansion at both ends in the longitudinal direction smaller than a coefficient of thermal expansion at the center in the longitudinal direction, and an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device 60 including: a rotatable fixing roll 61; an endless belt 62 that can move while in contact with the fixing roll 61; and a pressure pad 64 that is arranged to be opposite to the fixing roll 61 with the endless belt 62 therebetween and presses the fixing roll 61 through the endless belt 62 to form a nip part N between the fixing roll 61 and the endless belt 62 through which a sheet P passes, where the coefficient of thermal expansion at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the pressure pad 64 is smaller than the coefficient of thermal expansion at the center in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
