PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved tape feeder.SOLUTION: A tape feeder 58 for feeding to a longitudinal direction a tape-formed component 152, having electronic circuit components housed one by one in each of a plurality of component housing recesses formed in juxtaposition at a constant pitch in the longitudinal direction of a carrier tape, and for successively positioning each of the plurality of component housing recesses to a component supply unit 110, includes: (A) first units 102 and 104 including a component supply unit, a tape-formed component guide unit 114 for guiding the tape-formed component to the component supply unit and a connector for receiving drive energy; and (B) second units 106 and 108 including a guide unit retention unit for retaining the tape-formed component guide unit in a state of being movable to the longitudinal direction. Each first unit is configured in a manner to be exchangeable with another first unit relative to the second unit. Thus, it is possible to reduce configuration elements of a detachable part, to thereby enable the reduction of equipment cost. |
