PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting device of a vehicle-mounted engine capable of properly choosing and using two starting motors when a starting request of a driver is present and when the starting request is absent in restarting an engine during idle stop.SOLUTION: A starting device of a vehicle-mounted engine includes: a low-speed type starting motor 36a relatively large in rotation of a motor output shaft with respect to rotation of a crankshaft 3; a high-speed type starting motor 28 relatively small in rotation of the motor output shaft with respect to the rotation of the crankshaft 3; and a restart control means to restart an engine 1 by driving the low-speed type starting motor 36a and the high-speed type starting motor 28 when a starting request of a driver is present in restarting the engine 1, and to restart the engine 1 by driving only the high-speed type starting motor 28 when the starting request of the driver is absent. |
