The reference and measurement radiations are derived from laser beam. Measurement radiation is emitted to target. Superposition of reflected measurement radiation and reference radiation is detected to derive interferometer output variable, from which time-resolved output variable curve (56) is produced. Curve is read-out to derive motion parameter for relative motion between measuring device and target. Parameter is compared with motion criterion of target, which is practically plausible and empirically accepted. Information is provided based on comparison, if criterion is not met. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for determining change in distance to moving and reflective targets, through interferometry; and (2) a computer program product for determining change in distance to moving and reflective targets, through interferometry. |
