The invention relates to a charging cable having expanded functionality, wherein the charging cable has two connectors at the ends thereof, preferably standardized in accordance with ISO/IEC 61581, comprising at least one proximity and one pilot conductor, which can be connected to a charging infrastructure and a vehicle, wherein the charging cable has a logic unit, which can be arranged in the connectors or in the cable itself, wherein the logic unit can be connected to the proximity and/or to the pilot conductor, wherein after the charging cable has been connected to the charging station and the vehicle, the charging cable can be addressed by the charging station in such a way that the charging station detects on the basis of the proximity that the charging cable is a charging cable having expanded functionality and the logic unit can be supplied with current by means of the proximity and/or the pilot conductor. The invention further relates to use of the charging cable to represent, for example, car-sharing processes. |
