In a multi-fuel internal combustion engine using both CNG and light oil, good operating performance and good emissions are able to be maintained even in cases where a change of required engine load is large. The engine is provided with a supply amount decision means that carries out supply amount decision processing to decide an amount of supply of the CNG and an amount of supply of the light oil according to the required engine load which is an engine load required by a driver, a fuel supply means that supplies the CNG and the light oil in the amounts of supply decided by the supply amount decision means to the internal combustion engine, and a gas fuel supply control means that prohibits the supply of gas fuel in an amount equal to or more than a predetermined amount irrespective of the decision by the supply amount decision means, in cases where the speed of change of the required engine load is larger than a specified value. |
