PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toner that has excellent low-temperature fixability and storage stability, and provides images with high glossiness; and a toner for electrophotography containing the binder resin.SOLUTION: Provided is a binder resin for toner that contains an amorphous polyester obtained through condensation polymerization of a raw material monomer containing a carboxylic acid component, an alcohol component, and a compound represented by the formula (I), wherein R, R, and Reach independently represent a carboxyl group or a hydroxymethyl group; and also provided is a toner for electrophotography containing the binder resin. |
