<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double row cylindrical roller bearing that can shorten the pre-conditioning interim operation time by suppressing grease from being raked toward a rolling surface, and can prolong the service life of the grease by increasing the residual grease in the internal space of the bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The double row cylindrical roller bearing 10A includes an outer ring 20, an inner ring 30, a plurality of cylindrical rollers 40, and a split retainer 50'. The split retainer 50' has an annular part 52 formed in a substantially annular shape and a plurality of pillars 54 projecting from the axial outside surface of the annular part 52 to both axial sides.
