ANTIMICROBIAL METHOD BY SYNERGISTIC EFFECT OF CICLOPIROX AND POLYMYXIN B AGAINST GRAM-NEGATIVE BACTERIA

The present invention relates to a control method of pathogenic gram-negative bacteria using a combination of ciclopirox and polymixin B. More specifically, a mixed drug produced by combining polymyxin B as an antibiotic of gram-negative bacteria and ciclopirox as an auxiliary agent thereof shows a synergistic effect on cell growth inhibition of an antibiotic-resistant strain, thereby being able to be helpfully used as a potential alternative method about a use of existing limited polymyxin B for treating diseases associated with pathogenic gram-negative bacteria.
