摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery which improves heat radiation characteristic of the battery and reduces a temperature distribution in the battery, which relaxes compressive stress due to expansion and contraction of an electrode resulting from charging and discharging and inhibits the deterioration of the electrode thereby achieving long life.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery is formed by laminating an electrode sheet where an electrode mixture layer is formed on an electrode current collector and a separator. The electrode mixture layer is formed into a belt shape on the electrode current collector forming a gap between itself and the electrode current collector. The separator is formed by a separator base material and a heat transmission promotion layer formed on the separator base material. Heat conductivity of the heat transmission promotion layer is higher than heat conductivity of the separator base material. The heat transmission promotion layer is formed in the gap.
