PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker that highly precisely detects the volume of an object being cooked.SOLUTION: A cooker comprises: heating means that heats an internal pot; internal pot temperature detection means that detects the temperature of the internal pot; and a control unit that controls the heating means. The cooker has a preheating process that keeps the temperature of the internal pot between a first temperature threshold and a second temperature threshold lower than the first temperature threshold by repeating operation and stop of the heating means. The control unit comprises volume determination means that determines the volume by: sequentially measuring the heating stop time in an interval from a time point of detecting that the temperature of the internal pot increased to the first temperature threshold to a time point of detecting that it then decreased to the second temperature threshold; and comparing the heating stop time with a determination threshold of the volume of an object being cooked in the internal pot. |
