PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a non-display area of an electronic apparatus to which a liquid crystal display is applied.SOLUTION: A box body for a backlight 100 includes: a rectangular bottom wall part 102 formed of a reflection film 101; a pair of first side wall parts 110 that are erected on the bottom wall part 102 to be opposite to each other in a first direction; and a pair of second side wall parts 120 that are erected on the bottom wall part 102 to be opposite to each other in a second direction. The pair of first side wall parts 110 are formed by bending each of the edges of the reflection film 101 in an L shape to be erected on the bottom wall part 102; the pair of second side wall parts 120 include placement surfaces 122a on which at least a liquid crystal panel is placed, and each of the placement surfaces 122a has a width wider than at least that of an edge surface of the reflection film 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
