PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the water repellency of a heat exchanger comprising a water-repellent base material having a hydrophobic coat formed on a hydrophilic layer.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger comprises: tubes 111 through which refrigerant flows; and fins 112 provided integrally with the tubes 111, at least either the tubes 111 or the fins 112 are constituted by a water-repellent base material 1 exhibiting hydrophobic properties on a surface thereof, the water-repellent base material 1 has a base substance 10 and a coating layer 11 covering the base substance 10, the coating layer 11 is formed by a plurality of layers that include a hydrophilic layer 12 provided on an interface with the base substance 10 and a hydrophobic coat 13 provided on an uppermost layer and exhibiting hydrophobic properties, and a peak intensity deriving from the hydrophobic coat 3 is higher than a peak intensity deriving from the hydrophilic layer 2 if the absorbance of the coating layer 11 is measured from the side of the water-repellent base substance 1 on which the hydrophobic coat 3 is provided by using an infrared spectrophotometer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
