PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent characteristics of a motor from being reduced by increase of a loss while suppressing centrifugal strength reduction relative to a centrifugal force that acts on a magnet.SOLUTION: An axial gap type rotary electric machine includes a stator, a rotor which is disposed oppositely to the stator while interposing an air gap therebetween, and a rotary shaft that is connected with the rotor. The rotor includes a back yoke, a magnet that is disposed between the back yoke and the stator, and a holding member for holding the magnet. In the holding member, a notched part is formed which penetrates through the holding member in an axial direction and a radial direction of the rotary shaft and confronts the magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
