PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing photography as intended while being conscious of a coupling destination even in a photographing mode for coupling photographed images.SOLUTION: A photographing apparatus 100 photographs a moving image for predetermined time in accordance with a photographing instruction, determines whether a moving image to be photographed in a first photographing mode can be added or not when shifting a photographing mode to the first photographing mode for coupling photographed moving images and recording the coupled moving image, and successively coupling moving images photographed after shifting to the first photographing mode to the moving image determined as an addition allowable moving image and recording the coupled moving image.
