PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress: image quality deterioration associated with toner deterioration when continuously outputting images with a low printing ratio; and density variation associated with rapid variation in a toner charge amount when switching to a continuous output of images with a high printing ratio after continuously outputting images with a high printing ratio, while suppressing toner consumption as low as possible.SOLUTION: A toner refreshing control is performed according to two threshold values: a first threshold value for a countermeasure to toner deterioration; and a second threshold value for a countermeasure to density variation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
