PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curb a flash phenomenon upon turning on a power of a display device.SOLUTION: A display unit 38 has: an OLED 90; a first power source line 74 for applying first reference potential to a cathod of the OLED 90; a second power source line 76 to which second reference potential causing the OLED 90 to emit is applied; a drive TFT 92 that controls conduction between a source to be connected to an anode and a drain to be connected to the second power source line 76; a light-up switch 94 that switches connection/disconnection of the second power line 76 and the drain of the drive TFT 92; and a reset switch 64 that switches presence or absence of application of reset potential from a reset power source to the drain. Prior to an application start of the reference potential to the power source lines 74 and 76, the light-up switch 94 is turned off, and the reset switch 64 and the drive TFT 92 are turned on, the anode of the OLED 90 is connected to a reset power source. In this state, application of each reference potential to the power source lines 74 and 76 is stated, and a normal operation causing the OLED 90 to emit is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
