摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow recording with higher density than a nozzle interval to be performed at high speed without stopping conveyance of a recording medium.SOLUTION: A line head 3, in which first-eighth recording heads 301-308 having nozzles for discharging ink arrayed in a line are arranged so as to form a nozzle row across a whole width in a recording width direction, is driven and controlled by a line head control portion 14 of a control portion 9 and first-eighth recording head driving portions 201-208. While conveying a recording medium in a direction perpendicular to the nozzle row by a conveying belt to be driven by a sub-scanning motor 16, the line head 3 is vibrated by a piezoelectric element 18 periodically with vibration amplitude within an array interval of the nozzles. Driving waveforms that differ for every time are outputted to the respective nozzles of the first-eighth recording heads 301-308 two times or more, within the period of the vibration, so as to change discharge amounts and discharge speeds of ink to be discharged from the respective nozzles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
