PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film formation method capable of forming a film having weatherability applicable to various industrial products, particularly to the vehicle outside plates, excellent in deep feeling from highlight to shade and expressing a metallic coating color having no color saturation feeling.SOLUTION: There is provided a film formation method comprising: applying a metallic base coating material including a scaly brilliant pigment to a coating object; applying on the obtained film, a color base coating material including a black composite metal oxide pigment having a primary particle size of 5 to 500 nm; and further applying a clear coating material on the film of the color base coating material. The black composite metal oxide pigment includes at least two metal elements selected from copper, manganese, iron, cobalt, chrome and nickel.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
