PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bromate ion concentration measuring method that realizes further improvement in measurement accuracy of bromate ion measurement in the measurement of bromate ion concentration using a fluorescent substance.SOLUTION: A bromate ion concentration measuring method for obtaining bromate ion concentration in sample water using both a difference in fluorescence intensity between a hydrochloric acid solution and hydrochloric acid and a calibration curve includes: a first fluorescence intensity measuring step that includes a step of passing the hydrochloric acid through an anion exchanger and then eluting a bromate ion attached to the anion exchanger into the hydrochloric acid, and also includes a step of measuring the fluorescence intensity of the hydrochloric acid passing through the anion exchanger; and a second fluorescence intensity measuring step that includes a step of passing the hydrochloric acid solution including a fluorescent substance of which the fluorescence intensity is changed by coexistence with the bromate ion, through the anion exchanger, and then eluting the bromate ion attached to the anion exchanger into the hydrochloric acid solution, and also includes a step of measuring the fluorescence intensity of the hydrochloric acid solution passing through the anion exchanger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
