PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an accurate face detection.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: imaging means; setting means that sets a gain relative to an image signal obtained through photographing of the imaging means; face detection means that implements a face detection of a subject on the basis of the image signal to which the gain set by the setting means is applied; and focus detection means.
