The present invention relates to an oriental acupuncture needle for drug delivery, having a detachable needle point made of a biodegradable polymer, and to a manufacturing method thereof. An herbal acupuncture needle of the present invention has a space where a drug can be stored inside a detachable needle point, and supplies a herbal medicine flowed into the space in an acupuncture process by the separation of a biodegradable coating formed on the outer side of the needle point, using an etching or 3D printing technique. The orient acupuncture needle of the present invention is compatible with an existing oriental acupuncture method, and discharges a drug in an acupuncture process to be proper to the positions and the flows of acupuncture points.
