PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning assistance device and a positioning assistance method with which it is possible to appropriately and dynamically set a timer when a communication terminal measures the radio wave of a satellite.SOLUTION: In UE-B positioning, the measurement time spent for radio wave measurement by a communication terminal 2 is acquired by a measurement time acquisition unit 14, and success/failure information indicating whether positioning arithmetic is successful or not is acquired by a success/failure information acquisition unit 13. The set information of measurement time and success/failure information is accumulated as learning data by a learning unit 15. A measurement timer in UE-A positioning is determined on the basis of the learning data by the learning unit 15 and stored in a measurement timer storage unit 16. The measurement timer is transmitted along with assist data by an assist data transmission unit 12 to the communication terminal 2 that has transmitted a positioning request designating UE-A positioning and set as a measurement timer for the communication terminal 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
