PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide not only a weight measurement method for the lifting body an elevator, which requires neither a carrying-in work into a hoistway, a mounting work nor de-mounting work after the mounting work but also a weight measurement device for the lifting body of the elevator, which can suppress the number of parts constituting the weight measurement device.SOLUTION: A weight measuring method for an elevator lifting body for measuring the weight of the lifting body measures the weight of said lifting body suspended by a main rope 6 inserted into an opening 1b formed in the floor face 1a of a machine house 1 of a hoistway upper portion, wherein the weight of said lifting body is measured by applying a load to be applied to said main rope 6, to a weight measurement device 7 disposed in said opening 1b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
