The purpose of the present invention is to provide a settling tank that balances simplification of tank internal structure with improvement of sedimentation efficiency. Provided is a settling tank for precipitating and separating flocs contained in water being treated, wherein the settling tank (10) is provided with: a circular cylinder or polygonal prism tank body (11); an inflow pipe (12) for which the inflow port (12A) for the water being treated is disposed inside the tank body (11) and which is for supplying the water being treated downward from the inflow port (12A) into the tank body (11) in the axial direction of the tank body (11); a dispersion mechanism (13) for the water being treated, the mechanism being disposed below the inflow port (12A) to disperse the water being treated in the horizontal direction by collision with the water being treated that is supplied into the tank body (11); multiple inclined plates (25) provided with the main surface inclined with respect to the horizontal plane at positions higher than the horizontal plane on which the dispersion mechanism (13) for the water being treated is provided, the inclined plates being provided as an array in the circumferential direction of the inner wall surface (11A) of the tank body; and plate-shaped guide members (26) extending from the lower ends of the inclined plates (25) to positions lower than the horizontal plane on which the dispersion mechanism (13) for the water being treated is provided.
