A stator of an AC generator for a vehicle includes: a stator core comprising a plurality of teeth forming a plurality of slots arranged radially; a stator coil arranged in the slot; a plurality of insulators which is arranged along an inner wall of the plurality of slots respectively, and insulates the stator coil and the stator core; and a plurality of wedges which is arranged at an aperture of the plurality of slots respectively. A sunshade protrusion, which is protruded in a circumferential direction, is formed at an end of the teeth. And the wedge includes an insertion part inserted into a space among the sunshade protrusion and a hooking part which is arranged in the slot to be hooked on the sunshade protrusion since the hooking part has a larger width in the circumferential direction than the insertion part.
