A method and apparatus for implementing networking of a home area network and a G.hn device. The method comprises: preset a signal-to-noise ratio threshold for joining networking of a home area network; when detecting that a signal-to-noise ratio from a domain-internal node is larger than the signal-to-noise ratio threshold, a domain-external node makes a request to the domain-internal node to join the domain where the domain-internal node is located; and when detecting that the signal-to-noise ratio from the domain-external node requesting to join is larger than the signal-to-noise ratio threshold, the domain-internal node agrees that the domain-external node joins the domain where the domain-internal node is located and that same becomes a new domain-internal node. In the method, through detection of the signal-to-noise ratio by the domain-external node and detection of the signal-to-noise ratio of the domain-internal node after receiving the join request, a networking process whereby the domain-external node automatically joins the domain where the domain-internal node is located is realized. Moreover, through detection of the signal-to-noise ratio, a normal communication process after the domain-external node joins the domain is better ensured, and particularly networking under the conditions of high signal strength but undesired signal-to-noise ratio is avoided. |
