PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set the amount of light emission from light emission means according to the brightness of a subject while eliminating unevenness of the brightness of an image for each line.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 comprises: an electronic imaging unit 3b in which exposure timing is different from each of a plurality of scanning lines; a light emission unit 4 capable of adjusting both of light emission intensity and light emission time; and a first light emission control unit 5e for controlling both of light emission intensity and light emission time of the light emission unit so that a relation between a common exposure period from exposure start timing of an end line to exposure end timing of a head line in which exposure is simultaneously performed in all scanning lines of the imaging unit and a light emission period during which the light emission unit emits light satisfies a predetermined condition and that a predetermined amount of light emission is secured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
