PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of suppressing an increase in coupling loss.SOLUTION: An optical connector is optically coupled with optical fibers F2, and includes an optical input/output surface 32, through which light entering the optical fibers F2 from the connected optical connector or light exiting from the optical fibers F2 to the connected optical connector passes, and lenses 34 disposed in optical paths between the optical fibers F2 and the optical input/output surface 32. A first light path L1 between the lenses 34 and the optical input/output surface 32 and a second light path L2 between the optical fibers F2 and the lenses 34 are filled with media having refractive indexes greater than that of the air, where a medium on a side of the first optical path L1 in reference to the lenses 34 and a medium on a side of the second optical path L2 have different refractive indexes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
