PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a used part of an ink ribbon form being reused in automatically positioning a printing medium at a print starting position.SOLUTION: A thermal print device 100, when a heat unit 11 moves from a head open position to a head close position, performs back-feeding of a printing medium M and an ink ribbon R until the printing medium M is moved to a print starting position, and when the head unit 11 moves to the head open position, feeds the ink ribbon R by the same distance as a distance at which the back-feeding is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
