PURPOSE:To secure information storage by moving a storing and reproducing head to read a track number preceding a final storage track in case of a failure of the reproduction of final storage track information during the information storage and then moving the head from this track to a final track. CONSTITUTION:When the storage contents of the final storage track are destroyed with change in the lapse of time and the optical head can not read a corresponding desired track number even by stepping jump to a desired track, the contents step jump in corresponding to a track number which is eight tracks precedent from a track number judged by a control part 21 to store dummy data and the track number extending eight tracks of an optical disk 1. During an access to a dummy track, access to any one of the eight tracks is attained even if there is an interlaced omission of stored data on he optical disk to secure information storage. |
