APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CLEANING A CIGARETTE SMOKE

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for cleaning cigarette smoke which effectively oxidative-decomposes and removes total volatile organic compounds of cigarette smoke in the room temperature. The apparatus and the method of the present invention can effectively treat gas-phase volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which is a major component of cigarette smoke, thereby being able to improve the quality of a smoking room and air. In addition, the apparatus and the method of the present invention can significantly reduce maintenance cost by using a semi-permanent nanocatalyst having good selectivity with respect to VOCs substances.
