PURPOSE:To prevent extinction of oil by supplying power from the start contact of ignition switch through PTC ceramic resistor to the electromagnetic clutch of compressor thereby driving the compressor at the start of engine. CONSTITUTION:At the start of engine the contact chip 16 of ignition switch 4 is connected to the starter contact 5 side to drive the starter motor 7. If the exterior temperature is higher than the setting of the outer air temperature switch 8 to close said switch 8, the electromagnetic clutch 1 is turned on through PCT ceramic resistors 6, 15 and the compressor 10 is driven by the starter motor 7. If the engine is hard to start and the motor 7 is operated for a long time, the resistors 6, 15 will heat themself and upon reaching to a predetermined temperature the resistance will increase abruptly to interrupt the current. Consequently wasteful consumption of power source is prevented. |
